Specifications include, but are not limited to: transport sealed shipments containing currency, coin, checks, securities, and like items from seventy-six (76) facilities within Harris County, which consist of 1,703 square miles. The vendor shall be a security services vendor licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) which regulates private security. Additionally shall provide armored car services and remain in compliance with the Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1702 and the related administrative rules. All armored car vehicles shall be built and equipped for armored car services (no unarmored or partially armored vehicles). The vendor shall maintain its security licensure for the life of the contract and should it expire during the contract, the vendor shall forward copies of the renewed license.
