Delineate the nature, extent, and source of abandoned mine contamination through detailed field sampling which includes, but is not limited to: • Investigation and assessment of ground subsidence features, not limited to geotechnical investigation and determination of failure mechanisms; • Surface and subsurface water sampling, analysis, and interpretation; • Soil sampling, analysis, and interpretation; • Ecological risk assessments, not limited to wildlife and habitat assessments; • Archeological investigations; • Air quality evaluation, testing, and permitting; • GIS mapping, design, and analysis; and • Wetland delineation surveying. Design remediation systems, oversee the construction and installation, and perform full-service operation, maintenance, and monitoring until project completion including but not limited to: • Design and construction of roads, wetlands, ponds, creeks, etc.; • Design and oversee reclamation plan based on results of geotechnical investigation; • Slope stability and volumetric of surface grading, including control of surface water/groundwater, as necessary; erosion and sediment control measures, and appropriate final grading techniques; • Environmental permitting, including but, not limited to: Clean Water Act 402 and 404 permits; • Monitoring for endangered or threatened species; • Archeological design and remediation; • Acid forming materials remediation; • Acid seep remediation; and • Revegetation analysis and recommendation.
