a) Line 1 – Five-ton air-cooled chiller package shall be capable of cooling marine (seawater) within the range of 23 degrees Celsius to 27 degrees Celsius. This air-cooled chiller will be used to cool the saltwater aquariums in the Sea Center visitor center. i) Example: Aqua Logic MT 8-460 5 Ton Chiller ii) Quantity: Two (2) iii) Air Cooled Chiller Package: (1) Shall be composed of an outdoor five-ton air cooled condensing unit with a vertical oriented titanium heat exchanger mounted together on 316 stainless steel stand. (2) Shall be air cooled condenser (3) Shall operate with 460-volt three (3) phase power 60 Hertz (4) Shall be water tested and ready for installation (5) Shall have a seawater safe flow switch that will prevent unit from operating if not engaged (6) All fasteners shall be 316 stainless steel (7) Power 460 three phase shall connect to the condenser (8) A stepdown transformer shall be mounted in condenser (9) Shall have single point plastic National Electric Manufacturers Association (NEMA) 4X control box with a twenty (20) foot tether allowing remote mounting indoors (a) Control box shall have four (4) indicator light emitting diode lamps to indicate phase losswhite, flow switch contact-blue, power - green and cycle on -amber – light emitting diode indicators will not illuminate if items above are not in operation (b) Control box shall have a phase monitor (c) Control box shall have a single stage digital temperature controller with LED water temperature readout convertible to Celsius and Fahrenheit iv) Heat Exchanger: (1) Shall be titanium tube with PVC SCH 80 shell construction serving as evaporator (2) Shall have inlet and outlet of 2” PVC SCH 80 fittings for seawater (3) Shall be vertical mounted with an air-bleed valve on the top (4) Shall have thermistor located in the bottom of heat exchanger (5) Shall handle flow rates minimum 30 gallons per minute (GPM) with maximum 60 GPM (6) Shall be capable of transferring a minimum 58,500 British Thermal Unit/kilowatt from seawater v) Condenser: (1) Shall be scroll compressor (2) Shall use 454 Freon (3) Shall be corrosion protected with a coating e.g. Coastal Coasting or Tropi-Coat type coating providing protection in salt environment (4) Shall be minimum of 16 SEER
