Specifications include, but are not limited to: renaming, rebranding and website development for the organization. The Office seeks to provide a new image that is dedicated to innovation, service to our customers (universities, business community, and citizens of the state) transparency and ease of doing business. This RFP is for all the elements of a two phase deployment strategy, with Phase I focusing on site design, architecture, and content specifications, and Phase II consisting of development of specific functionality. Phase I: Redesign of current site using University of Texas System templates, residing within the University of Texas System implementation of Drupal. 1-3 mockups presented for choice Architecture of site accommodating unit specific content. Formatted for easy content updates by Office staff Phase II: Companies/Entrepreneurs: The website will have a section with links to member institutions and a section for five featured technologies. Industry partners who wish to engage with the university: The website will have an industry portal providing a one stop shop for industry wanting to partner with the university system. This will include links to policy, other internal and external websites, downloadable PDFs, and possibly a “search expertise” function to rank faculty research expertise. Coordination on implementation will be required. Faculty who are interested in starting a company: The website will enable faculty to register for training classes, video stream previously delivered training, request a mentor, apply for funding, see the process flow chart and timing for receiving money for the university venture fund and highlight university based start-ups. During the design phased other needs will be identified. Possible mentors: Individuals interested in mentoring start-ups will be able to upload their resume. Possible investors: Will be able to identify and describe themselves and define areas of investment interest.
