Provide care for domesticated and feral dogs and cats, including food, water, lodging, and necessary medical care. • Rabies control services for dogs and cats. Clinic shall provide a state-approved quarantine boarding area in compliance with the Department of Health Services Chapter 169 Zoonosis Control. • The Clinic, at the request of the City, will assist Helotes Animal Control with rabies preparation for rabies testing or perform rabies testing on behalf of the City. • Clinic will provide a fee schedule for and not limited to, vaccination, exams, boarding, quarantine, spay, neuter, sedation, microchipping, euthanasia, and other common practices. • Evaluate yearly the City of Helotes animal control shelter (annual inspection) to keep compliance with Health and Safety Code Chapters 823 Animal Shelters and 829 Animal Control Officer Training. Page 3 • Assist the City of Helotes with its three-yearly advisory committee meeting to keep compliance with Chapter 823 Animal Shelters. • Assist the City with reviewing policy and procedure for the care of animals. • Clinic shall have a minimum of one certified euthanasia technician.
