Specifications include, but are not limited to: 16.2.1 40% of the Tennis Professional’s time should be focused on the development, planning and supervision of the tennis program while 60% of the time should be focused on conducting lessons and clinics. 16.2.2 Supervise all tennis play and proper charging of fees, and rental, if applicable, of equipment. 16.2.3 Initiates, directs and promotes tennis clinics, special events and programs in an effort to attract and maintain members’ tennis interests. 16.2.4 Implement and develops beginning through advanced instruction and programs (private and group) for all levels of players; children, juniors and adults. 16.2.5 Lessons and programs for children, juniors and adults. 16.2.6 Prepare a monthly calendar of events for promotion 16.2.7 Ensure proper inspection of the various courts/facilities on a weekly basis and ascertain that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the courts are in a safe working order. Report any maintenance problems to the department director, assistant director or Maintenance Manager. 16.2.8 Organize, manage, staff and coordinate all aspects of City’s Summer Tennis Program, hosted daily, Monday through Friday, from June through August. 16.2.9 Coordinate, attend and participate in key City events that involve existing and new participants and tennis-related activities, such as introduction to tennis events, tennis fun days, and other tournaments. 16.2.10 Accurately reporting lessons, clinics, special events, service fees and general attendance on a monthly basis. 16.2.11 Enforce all tennis rules and train on-court staff, as applicable on the application of those rules. 16.2.12 Generate and maintain a persistent on-court teaching presence, as well as a positive, healthy, inclusive and infectious appreciation for tennis and for the community.
