The City of Athens is soliciting requests for qualifications (RFQ) from qualified, licensed, and experienced public accounting firms whose principal officers are independent certified public accountants. Preference will be given to accounting firms with extensive experience in providing audit services to municipalities comparable in size to the City of Athens. The objectives of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) are: To secure external audit services for performance of the City’s annual financial audit; To secure external audit services for performance of the City’s Single Audit of state and federal grants, when required; To secure external audit services for performance of the Athens Economic Development Corporation’s annual financial audit; To obtain other related services as stated herein.
