Specifications include, but are not limited to: scheduled preventative maintenance, as-needed repairs and technical support for the Ecolab BioQuell ProteQ Zed Vapor Hydrogen Peroxide bio- decontamination unit. As part of the BioThreat team’s Laboratory Response Network mission to rapidly detect emerging diseases and high-consequence pathogens, maintaining a BioSafety Level 3 laboratory is required. This allows for the safe manipulation and identification of Select Agents such as the causative agents of Ebola, anthrax, and plague. The BioThreat team maintains a BSL3 laboratory at TDSHS for this purpose. An area decontamination method is required in the event of a large spill or to decontaminate the laboratory before routine maintenance. The BioThreat team utilizes the BioQuell Zed Vapor Hydrogen Peroxide Unit. An annual service visit is required to calibrate the unit and perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operational conditions. a) The following equipment will be covered under this Contract: BioQuell Zed Vapor Hydrogen Peroxide Unit, Serial # 200805BZ00138 b) On-site service shall include: 1. Annual preventative maintenance service of the unit shall include: i. Battery replacement ii. Pre-filter replacement iii. H202 and room humidity sensor replacement iv. Distribution fan and airflow switch function test v. Emergency stop function test vi. Aeration fan, decontamination fan, and flap valve switch test vii. Perform any software upgrades as-needed Ensure end-user programmed cycles are saved and transferred back to the unit if necessary. viii. Perform any hardware repair as-needed ix. Calibration of the VHP (Vaporizer Hydrogen Peroxide) Z-2 Unit, including: 1. Vaporizer temperature sensor 2. Vaporizer blower airflow 3. Pump 4. Calibration due date set
