Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Develop long and short-range objectives and goals for the safety and security of the district. • Ensure Police and Security Services are rigorously supportive of the goals and objectives of the district. • Develop policies, procedures, and deployment plans that are focused on sound Police and Security practices. • Oversee Police and Security personnel and equipment resources to maximize specific support to campuses and district facilities and minimize expenditures of time and materials to Police and Security Services. • Collaborate with administrative and campus personnel to ensure security needs of campuses are met through school value. • Ensure that all criminal offenses that occur within the district are investigated promptly and thoroughly, evidence is collected and preserved, and witness statements are properly documented. • Respond to district emergency and/or crisis situations. • Establish liaison with other law enforcement professionals including federal, state, county, and local entities. • Coordinate and administer daily police activities through subordinates. • Direct activities of personnel engaged in preparing budget proposals, maintaining police records, and recruiting staff. • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
