This project consists of all work associated with the lump sum and unit price bid of the construction of a closed-conduit storm drain system; the associated earthwork to shape a receiving channel for flow conveyed by that system; and the asphalt re-paving of approximately 115 linear feet of a portion of S. Cimmaron Trail. The storm drain system will consist of 186 linear feet of RCP; 174 linear feet of 2’x6’ RCB; four (4) cast-in-place wye inlets; and one pair of wingwalls at the storm drain outfall. At this outfall, approximately 450 cubic yards of soil will be excavated to construct a drainage channel with 3:1 side-slopes and a top width of 20 feet. This east-west channel will include a 2’-wide pilot channel at its flowline to convey flow to the existing north-south receiving channel. Finally, as previously mentioned, a portion of S. Cimmaron Trail will be re-paved with a 9”-thick crushed aggregate base and 3” HMAC surface course because the road profile has been altered as the low-water crossing that exists in the pre-construction condition will be replaced by the proposed storm drain system. Other items include demolition; traffic control; grading to drain; placing turf reinforcement mat along the newly excavated channel; and seeding of turf mat and other disturbed areas. Project shall include all necessary labor, materials, and testing in accordance with the plans and specifications.
