The Houston Health Department (HHD) is seeking to contract a qualified agency to implement a Train-the-Trainer parent engagement curriculum. The contracted agency will be tasked with developing and delivering a robust training curriculum. The contracted agency will equip trainers with the skills and knowledge necessary to facilitate parent engagement workshops. The contracted agency will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive training designated to facilitators who will then lead these sessions within their respective communities. The goal is to build local capacity by preparing facilitators to engage and support parents effectively in their roles. The purpose of this Train-the-Trainer program is to equip selected facilitators with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to independently lead parent engagement workshops, which are designed to provide parents and caregivers with a supportive, judgment-free environment for discussing key topics such as resilience, communication, and family relationships. By training local facilitators, the program aims to build sustainable peer support networks within the community, empower parents to strengthen their family dynamics, and enhance their ability to cope with challenges, ultimately fostering healthier family environments and stronger community ties.
