• Edison Elementary School o New 8 classroom addition o Build a new gymnasium, which will be an ICC 500 rated storm shelter. o Expand library o Modify current entry to create security vestibule o Replace fire alarm system o Replace PA system o Expand cafeteria into current gym space. o Replace existing exterior doors. • Chalmers Elementary School o New 8 classroom addition, which will be an ICC 500 rated storm shelter. • Intermediate School o New 8 classroom addition, which will be an ICC 500 rated storm shelter. o Add security fencing and gates around perimeter of site. o Replace fire alarm system • Preliminary Schedule for all 3 projects: o 50% CD Documents: 10/30/2025 o Bid Documents: 3/5/2026 o NTP: 4/21/2026 o Substantial Completion: 12/22/2027 • City of Gainesville current codes are understood to be the 2021 IBC family of codes. • 2025 Revit will be utilized on this project; leveraging BIM capabilities will be sought as appropriate. • Renovations at tie-in locations to existing building(s) to be expected. • Each campus is active, and care will need to be taken around working with the district on construction schedule, delivery schedule, site utilization by contractor including parking and laydown. • Work with design team on finding ways to improve construction schedule where possible.
