Mobilization This item shall include the preparation of the site for construction. This item shall also include the movement of construction equipment, personnel, and supplies to the project site or to the staging area of the project site to enable the contractor to begin work on the contract. The cost of all insurance and bonds for the project shall also be included in this item. Measurement and payment shall be at the bid unit price per lump sum item based on a percentage of the work performed. Total compensation cannot exceed 5% of total task order value. The payment shall be full compensation for all materials, tools, equipment, labor, and incidentals required to complete this item. Project Sign This pay item shall consist of the construction and installation of a project sign. This pay item shall also consist of the furnishing of complete signs including sign connections and all hardware; and for washing and cleaning the signs. Measurement and payment shall be at the bid unit price per each, for all the labor and incidentals necessary to complete the work. Portable Message Sign This pay item shall consist of the provision, delivery, maintenance, and transportation of a Portable Message Sign. This pay item shall also consist of the operation of the Portable Message Sign twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week; and for washing and cleaning the signs. Measurement and payment shall be at the bid unit price per each per week erected, for all the labor and incidentals necessary to complete the work. Traffic Control – Residential; Traffic Control – Arterial / Collector This item shall include the location and placement of traffic control and safety devices in accordance with TMUCD requirements which shall be ensured by the contractor. The contractor will be responsible for developing and implementing a traffic control plan, signed and sealed by a professional engineer in the State of Texas, for review and approval by the City. Measurement and payment shall be at the bid unit price per month for all traffic control measures including, but not limited to, signage, flagmen, barricades, and all other measures necessary to ensure public safety. Traffic control facilities shall remain in place until project completion and the installation of permanent signage. Multiple traffic control phasing plans shall be included under this item as they may be needed for the construction of the project. During construction, additional traffic control measures may also be requested by the city. Refer to Item 10 Traffic Control (GR-6) of these General Requirements. The payment shall be full compensation for all materials, tools, equipment, labor, and incidentals required to complete this item. Rock Filter Dams This item shall include the required work and materials for the installation of Rock Filter Dams. This item shall be in accordance with NCTCOG Item 202.9 “Check Dam (Rock)”. Measurement and payment shall be at the bid unit price per square yard of Rock Filter Dam as measured from the rock base. The payment shall be full compensation for all materials, tools, equipment, labor, and incidentals required to complete this item. Geotextile Fabric with Seeding This item shall include the required work and materials for the installation of Geotextile Fabric with Seeding. This item shall finish the ground surface limits of all disturbed areas for the installation of the offsite channel and offsite storm drain system. Geotextile Fabric and Seed shall be placed at locations disturbed offsite as shown in the construction drawings or directed by OWNER and in accordance with the NCTCOG Item 202.15 “Erosion Control Blankets”. Contractor shall remove all roots, debris, and rocks larger than 1½". Grades shall be uniform, with even cross sections to prevent ponding or uneven grades. Contractor shall be responsible for watering areas of seed. Subsequent watering shall continue until firm rooting of the seed to the ground has occurred as defined by City Inspector. Additional areas disturbed outside of the pipe trench and drainage channel for material storage or equipment access and movements will be the responsibility of the contractor, and not be billed against the Owner. Measurement and payment shall be at the bid unit price per square yard of Geotextile Fabric and Seed placed. The price shall be full compensation for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, water and incidentals necessary to complete the work. Stabilized Construction Entrances This item shall include the required work and materials for the installation of Stabilized Construction Entrances. This item shall be in accordance with NCTCOG Item 202.11 “Stabilized Construction Exit”. Measurement and payment shall be at the bid unit price per square yard of Stabilized Construction Entrance. The payment shall be full compensation for all materials, tools, equipment, labor, and incidentals required to complete this item. Inlet Protection This item shall include the required work and materials for the installation of Inlet Protection. This item shall be in accordance with NCTCOG Item 202.14 “Inlet Protection”. Measurement and payment shall be at the bid unit price per linear foot of Inlet Protection. The price shall be full compensation for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, water and incidentals necessary to complete the work.
