The Northwest Transfer Station will be an approximately 27,500 SF metal building on a 5- acre site that will replace the existing transfer station. The metal building will include MEP systems as well as a misting system. This work will include two other structures: an 800 SF scale house and a tarping station. The scale house will be a CMU structure separated into two distinct areas; one for scale operations, including an office, kitchenette, and MDF room. The other area of the scale house will be a breakroom and vending area for the drivers. The tarping station will be a steel structure to assist the drivers with loading and securing their trucks. Site improvements will include, but not be limited to, landscaping, concrete pavement, stormwater detention, utilities, fencing, exterior lighting, and demolition of the existing building and pavement.
