Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit responses from qualified firms (Proposers) to provide transit services for the Northeast Transportation Service Urban Transit District (NETSUTD). Trinity Metro will contract with a private firm to provide Northeast Transportation Service (NETS) for elderly persons and persons with disabilities living in Bedford, Euless, Grapevine, Haltom City, Hurst, Keller, and North Richland Hills as funded by the NETSUTD. The service Contractor must be able to meet the following service demands: Operate from 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday in the NETS service area as assigned. Trips assigned may be within one city or go to other NETS member cities. NETS eligible passengers may also be taken to the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) CentrePort/DFW, Bell, and Richland Hills stations. Many of the trips occur during the peak hours of 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. No service on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or the day after, and Christmas Day. Contact via phone lines to contractor is to be 6:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. on service days. Services to be provided are door-to-door, and the driver is to escort the passenger to and from the vehicle. Drivers are responsible for taking wheelchairs up or down one step. They are to offer and provide all other necessary assistance in boarding or alighting the vehicle. Drivers are also to assist the passengers with packages and groceries. All passengers must have access to and wear a working seat belt
