Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Texas General Land Office (GLO) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) regarding a non-profit entity that will operate solely for the benefit of the historic Alamo Complex, located in San Antonio, Texas. The GLO invites presentations from interested parties with an existing non-profit entity or the capability to form and manage a new non-profit entity or foundation for the benefit of The Alamo Complex. Millions of people annually visit the 4.2 acre complex known as "The Alamo." The Alamo receives no monetary help from local, state or federal government and currently depends solely upon money from sales from The Alamo Gift Museum, donations from individuals and private foundation grants to fund its educational programming and general operation. The GLO is issuing this RFI in an effort to gather information in order to partner with a non-profit entity that will aid in the preservation of The Alamo and to improve the visitor experience.
