1. Northwest ISD Northwest ISD is one of the fastest growing school districts in the state. Located north of Fort Worth and west of the Dallas metroplex, Northwest ISD has a vision of becoming the best and most sought after school district. The Northwest Independent School District covers 234 square miles and serves 14 communities in parts of 3 counties. The district of over 32,000 students is expected to double in size in the 20 years and could have as many as 90,000 students in the next 20-30 years. Northwest ISD has 3 comprehensive high schools, an accelerated high school, 7 middle schools and 24 Elementary schools, a special programs center. Northwest is continuing to grow and will be adding more campuses every year for the foreseeable future. 2. Vendor Responsibility The awarded vendor, without additional expense to the District, obtain necessary licenses and permits, and be responsible for complying with any federal, state, county and municipal laws, codes and regulations applicable to the performance of this contract. 3. Duties Carrier shall transport three high schools daily, 24 elementary schools twice per week, 7 middle schools twice per week, Administration building once per week, Athletic complex once per week and one Support Service center twice per week and deliver to the District's bank depository vault: monies, bank validated receipts and banking supplies (coin/currency straps) designated by the District. 4. Duties Carrier shall only accept for transportation monies, which are contained in a sealed locked disposal bank bags properly labeled with the Owner's name and campus number. Carriers quote shall include disposal bank bags with labels. 5. Duties - Vehicle The carrier shall provide service in vehicles of good repair and operation secured as prescribed by law. Vehicles(s) are to be an armored vehicle specifically designed for the transport of monies, and clearly marked with carrier's name. Items received by the carrier from all locations need only be transported in an armored vehicle under the control of a driver in uniform carrying proper credentials for identification by personnel of the District. An armored vehicle is determined to be a one-man vehicle with a drop safe. 6. Duties - Delivery Carrier guarantees proper and efficient service with delivery to vault next business day. If not delivered next day, then loss of interest must be compensated to the District. Carrier also guarantees delivery of all monies placed in its possession to the District's Bank Depository or other bank as may later be designated by the District, and is responsible for the loss, damage, or destruction of any and all monies. The District bank Depository is subject to change. The carrier will notified in writing prior to such change. 7. Locations The Northwest ISD locations for 2024 - 2025 are included in the attachments section. Additional locations may/will be added as new facilities are completed. The NISD school calendar is on the District's web site at www.nisdtx.org but is subject to change each school year especially during the current operating conditions.
