Description of Requirement
The Angelina/Sabine Ranger Districts of the National Grasslands and Forests of Texas is soliciting cut tree marking services. The project area is located on the Angelina/Sabine Ranger District approximately 5 miles east of Pineland, TX. The treatment area consists of compartments 91 and 92 in mixed pine/hardwood stands totaling 760 acres. Only pine will be marked in both compartments. Units will be marked in blue or yellow tracer paint and sample tree tally cruised. Crew must be cruiser qualified to mark. Some units will have visual quality requirements where directional marking and increases in basal area retained is necessary. These areas will be designated on maps. Units will be laid out and marked on the ground with 3 diagonal stripes and two stump marks in orange paint and acres will be determined by GIS. All areas are accessible by vehicle or by foot and are generally on a level slope with an elevation of about 270 feet.
Trees will be selected and marked based on the description in each individual cruise plan so that the desired basal area/acre (BA) and spacing would result after harvest.

Delivery of the contracted work will be made within 150 days of contract award
Acceptance of performed work will be made at the worksite location(s) by the project COR
(Contracting Officer’s Representative) or Government Technical Monitor if applicable. Acceptance will be made before the crew leaves the worksite.
