Construction of a 5.0-million-gallon (MG) prestressed concrete ground storage tank (GST); construction of a chemical containment area and a chemical building; installation of one (1) 1,550-gallon LAS storage tank, two (2) 2,400-gallon Sodium Hypochlorite storage tanks, and two pump skids for injecting LAS and Sodium Hypochlorite into both the future WHCRWA and existing City of Houston meter extensions; installation of chemical analyzers and associated piping for LAS, Chlorine, and a future caustic injection system for both future meter station and existing meter station; installation of piping for a future WHCRWA meter station connection; construction of a new 36-inch waterline to convey surface water from the existing City of Houston meter station to GST-5; modifications to the existing 24-inch and 16-inch inlet risers at GST-1, GST-2, and GST-5; addition of a new 24-inch inlet riser at GST-2; installation of structural gratings and valve stem extensions within the eastern and western valve vaults; replacement of existing chemical analyzers with new chemical analyzers; extension of the concrete slab adjacent to the City of Houston meter station; installation of turf reinforcement mats along detention basin slopes; demolition of the southern meter run and replacement of the control valve on the northern meter run; installation of cathodic protection for new waterlines; installation of a data logger on the incoming power supply; and completion of all necessary electrical installations and modifications as outlined in the plans and specifications.
