Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is soliciting offers from qualified vendors to provide Application Service Provider (ASP) services to support software maintenance, development, and enhancement of the DSHS NEDSS Base System (NBS). a. Planning and Reporting The Contractor shall perform planning and reporting services which include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Conduct weekly planning meetings with DSHS to review accomplishments and planned activities; 2. Provide weekly status reports to include the status of open issues, recently closed issues, deliverables, and any perceived issues; 3. Provide monthly status reports; 4. On an as needed basis, as determined by DSHS, hold analysis and design sessions for new SR; and 5. Monitor help desk tickets and respond according to priority. b. Incident (Fix) For incidents, Contractor shall perform services which include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Trouble-shoot and resolve problems encountered in incoming labs and case reports coming into the Texas NBS; 2. Resolve integration issues with Texas jurisdictions to facilitate uploading electronic lab records from those jurisdictions into the Texas NBS; 3. Resolve issues for the integration of other systems utilizing the Texas NBS Public Health Case Reporting functionality; and 4. Resolve issues for maximizing of the speed of the Texas specific ETL code. c. Informational Requests For informational requests, the Contractor shall perform services which include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Respond to questions from DSHS staff related to functional aspects of the Texas NBS; 2. Respond to legislative inquiries; 3. Respond to inquiries sent by DSHS Government Relations; and 4. Respond to audit requests from HHSC IT Federal/State Reporting Coordination as well as other DSHS designated entities.
