The City of Shenandoah (City) intends to engage the Contractor to collect, legally dispose and process solid waste, bulky and brush waste, and recyclable materials from all single-family homes (Customer) and City facilities. All single-family homes have mandatory inclusion and shall be charged as described for services provided in the contract. Commercial and industrial customers are not included in this contract, and such customers may choose any private firm for the collection, transportation, processing, and/or disposal of solid waste and recyclable materials. The Contractor will be responsible for: Provide both efficient and economical residential curbside solid waste collection and legal disposal. Provide both efficient and economical residential curbside recycling collection for resell in marketable products. Maximize sanitary and aesthetic living conditions for the citizens of the City of Shenandoah. Maintain positive communications with the City and the Customers.
