• Value of Solar: Austin Energy does not have a net metering rate and instead has the Value of Solar Rate to compensate customers for behind the meter generation. Please review the details of this rate and ensure modeling is reflective. • Transformer Rating: In accordance with Austin Energy’s Distribution System Interconnection Guide for customer-owned power production facilities less than 10 MW, if the total size (in kW AC) of all DG resources tied to a transformer will exceed 90% of the transformer rating, then the DGPA will be denied unless the customer either downsizes the proposed system to meet the limit, or request that Austin Energy upgrade the transformer. Note: If requesting an upgrade, AE will review for feasibility and if approved, will build and install the new equipment at the customer’s expense. • Operation and Maintenance (O&M): The selected Contractor will provide O&M services for the contract life of all city-owned solar systems. • Monitoring: The City requests a publicly facing web-based portal for real-time and cumulative system performance monitoring.
