Areas located in Exhibit A, Exhibit B and Exhibit C will be mowed weekly during the normal growing season (March 1-November 30) and as otherwise needed to maintain a neat and uniform appearance. All other areas will be mowed on a monthly basis (typically with tractor). During the non-growing season (December 1-February 28) the areas located Exhibit A, Exhibit B and Exhibit C will be mowed monthly. No other areas need to be mowed during the non-growing season. The areas listed in Exhibit A, Exhibit B and Exhibit C will be maintained at a height of two (2.0) to t h r e e (3.0) inches d u r i n g t h e g r o w i n g s e a s o n unless otherwise requested by the Airport Manager. Discharge from mowing should not be directed at runways, taxiways, or any other airport equipment, for example runway lighting fixtures. Weekly Work Scope Area also includes All areas 30 feet perpendicular to runway and taxiways. Weekly mowing area is 90 feet perpendicular to runway edge for the PAPI lighting system and the runway thresholds for runway 16 and 34, see Exhibit C. Trimming shall be executed as needed to maintain vegetation control within the Work Scope Area. Areas inaccessible for mowing equipment shall be managed using trimmers. Any dead vegetation shall be removed by mowing or trimming equipment. The use of handheld trimmers is required around airport buildings and airport equipment, for example around windsock and the stone circle, and AWOS area. 3. LEAF AND GRASS CLIPPING REMOVAL All leaves and grass clippings will be removed from paved areas including, but not limited to, parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks during the course of this contract. 4. HERBICIDE USE Herbicides shell be applied as needed to eliminate vegetation within the Work Scope Area. Herbicide use shall include, but not be limited to, the following areas: (1) vegetation growth along airport fences, including airport boundary fence; (2) vegetation growth around airport buildings and equipment; (3) within 2’ radius around ground lighting to eliminate the need for mowing equipment in close contact with airport equipment; (4) any area which is not feasible for mowing equipment such as concrete expansion joints, pavement cracks and hangar perimeters.
