Mowing shall be to a height of 3 inches. Vegetation on sidewalk/curb edges shall be trimmed to the concrete. Use of herbicide is acceptable provided the applicator is licensed to use the herbicide. Any use of herbicide outside of intended use may be cause for immediate termination. Signs, manholes, fire hydrants, guardrails etc. shall be trimmed around to match the mowing height. Any debris/ litter in the mowing area shall be removed by the contractor prior to mowing. Service Provider Responsibilities • All work is to take place during the daylight hours – 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. – unless prior approval for night work is obtained. • Pick up and remove all paper, plastic, metal trash, fallen branches, tires or any material in the assigned public rights-of-way prior to mowing. • When possible, all litter shall be placed in bags and near the roadway for pick-up. All large debris shall be clearly marked and placed near the roadway. • No litter piles/bags shall block any sideway, driveway or other pathway. • All litter bags or debris piles collected shall be picked up daily and properly discarded/recycled...
