2.0 Purpose Austin Energy is seeking services from qualified Contractors to relocate an estimated 5,000 individual SKU’s and electric utility items of various sizes and weights which are not limited to those detailed in Exhibit “A”. The timing of the relocation of the inventory items is dependent on work being completed at the new warehouse and laydown yard. Activities in this relocation will include, but may not be limited to, packing, loading, moving, unloading, unpacking, and placing inventory items inside the new warehouse and laydown yard. Austin Energy may, at any time, remove or add to the list of locations that require relocation. 5.1 General Requirements The Contractor shall: 5.1.1 Provide all necessary supervision, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation required to safely pack, load, transport, unload, unpack and place inventory items from the existing facilities at the new facility. Refer to section 2.0 for location addresses. Austin Energy will not provide equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks or any other powerindustrial vehicles for the relocation project. 5.1.2 Perform moving services that shall include, but are not limited to, the following items that support electric utility operations. Weight and dimensions of equipment and inventory items vary greatly. These items may be palletized on a standard pallet or skid. The majority of the items fit on a standard 48x40 in pallets. 5.1.2.1 Packed boxes, crates and/or equipment consisting of large, bulky and heavy items that may weigh in excess of 10,000 lbs. 5.1.2.2 Wood poles that range 35’ – 90’ in length and weigh upwards of 2,300 lbs. 5.1.2.3 Single-and multi-phase padmount transformers. The 250KVA pad mount transformer are 2500 lbs. on average and will be on standard 48x40 pallets. 5.1.2.4 Large cable reels that are estimated to be 7’ in diameter that weigh 12,000 lbs. on average. 5.1.3 Gain and maintain any permits needed while on jobsite to be provided by the vendor upon contract execution. 5.1.4 Must maintain any permits to operate oversized equipment on City roadways to be provided by the vendor upon contract execution. 5.1.5 Comply with all Federal, State, and local laws, statutes, City of Austin ordinances, rules, and regulations. 5.1.6 Be responsible for ensuring services conducted on or around City property is performed in a safe, courteous, and professional manner.
