Specifications include, but are not limited to: GRADER, MOTOR, RENTAL OR LEASE, WITH 135 TO 185 HP UNIT. 2,160.00 SVC; Motor Graders with operators for the Lufkin District to be used for winter weather events to help with the clearing of roadways. Once the award is made, the unit of measure will be converted to service (SVC) in the amount TxDOT estimates to spend. Each SVC (Service) is priced at $1.00. A SVC is a TxDOT internal system unit of measure. Vendor must invoice at the price(s) indicated on the pricing schedule for work authorized. This solicitation is to establish a contract for services to provide rental of motorgraders with operators for the Lufkin District to include the following counties: Sabine, Shelby, Houston, Trinity, Polk, Angelina, Nacogdoches, San Augustine, and San Jacinto. 5.2.1. Provide equipment in good working condition and shall operate safely, smoothly and efficiently. Equipment will be in compliance with all specifications of the manufacturer. TxDOT reserves the right to inspect and reject any piece of equipment. 5.2.2. Remove and replace any equipment found to be defective within 24 hours. 5.2.3. Begin work within two working days of being notified by an authorized TxDOT representative. NOTE: If vendor does not begin operations as specified in this solicitation, within three working days after notification, TxDOT has the option to perform, or secure the work in any other manner deemed necessary. 5.2.4. Be onsite at TxDOT job site within 24 hours of written notice by TxDOT. 5.2.5. Meet with TxDOT representatives prior to beginning operations to outline the proposed method to accomplish the work required. 5.2.6. Perform work during the hours and on the dates specified by TxDOT.
