Specifications include, but are not limited to: TDepartment of Code Compliance is looking for a vendor with ability to provide Adult Mosquito Control Services using Ultra Low Volume (ULV) spraying/fogging of pesticide from truck mounted equipment while navigating public streets to help in reducing potential disease transmission. All activities and methods performed in this program are to be consistent with CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and Department of State Health Services recommendations and regulations. The services which are described shall be strictly limited to the area confined within the geographic area which is commonly known as being within the corporate limits of the City of Dallas, the County of Dallas, and the State of Texas. Treatment area may be up to 100 linear miles per day with the applications taking place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. For street level and off-road applications, vendor is to utilizes the industry standard equipment. During any adult mosquito application, technicians will need to record various events that occur during the application sequence, i.e., operator and/or vehicle identification, ground speed, “No Spray Zones”, type of insecticide, total insecticide dispensed, and total area or distance treated. Surveillance service response time of not more than one business-day after written notification and receipt of operational maps or addresses. Response Guarantee of a next business day response time for larval control and surveillance service requests. Service request are to be guaranteed 48 hours from time of notification for commencement of control operations. Same day response is available to City of Dallas under most emergency circumstances. City of Dallas is always guaranteed priority response over non-contract entities for mosquito management and surveillance operations. Vendor will hire seasonal staff as needed to fulfill its contractual obligations.
