Specifications include, but are not limited to: Proposer will: • Ensure the Mental Health Provider meets the following qualifications: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). • Provide full malpractice coverage on employees assigned to serve FBISD students. • Utilize the FBISD School Mental Health referral process to obtain referrals on campus through counselors, social workers, Student Support Team (SST), and parents/guardians. • Initiate interaction with school staff and community partners about the referral process. • Provide direct mental health services on campus to referred victims or other qualified clients with appropriate parental consent. • Ongoing case consultation will be conducted with staff, community partners, and parents/guardians, to ensure that a supportive environment exists for the client. • Have the ability to blend cultural knowledge and sensitivity with victim restoration skills for a more effective and culturally appropriate recovery process. • Serve identified students with minimum interruption of the academic day including scheduling meetings with students that do not interfere with core academic subjects unless court-mandated, included in the Individual Education Plan (IEP), or approved by the principal. Use before and after school times to provide services whenever possible. • Not charging families for services; however, therapists will ascertain the family's insurance status is, if needed, provide linkage and referral as appropriate to intensive-level services at other, medically appropriate, sites.
