Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1.1 " University Health is seeking competitive proposals from an approved network service vendor for secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) for Part A/B, and direct data entry (DDE) for Part A. Vendor must be on the Novitas Solution list of approved network service vendor list. " 1.1.2 " The purpose of this contract is to access Novitas Solutions Medicare Direct Data Entry (DDE) for claim submission and the intent to manage billing Medicare electronically. " 1.1.3 " University Health will need full access and connectivity to Direct Data Entry (DDE) to ensure our claims go through all edits and claim corrections before the claim is submitted. " 1.1.4 " One unit of service equals to one Medicare claim. " 1.1.5 " Contractor’s system shall have the ability to sort by various methods, to moving claims though the DDE process. " 1.1.6 " Contractor’s system shall have the ability to provide easy correction of claims, in front end (prebilled) or returned to provider billed within the Medicare DDE system. " 1.1.7 " Contractor’s system shall have the ability to integrate with Epic patient accounting systems for automated claims transaction workflow. " 1.1.8 " Contractor’s system shall have the ability to provide a detailed description and workflow of connection to Medicare fiscal intermediaries and any other fiscal intermediaries as applicable. " 1.1.9 " Contractor’s system management of workflow shall be web-based. "
