The City of Georgetown (the “City”), a Texas home-rule municipal corporation. The City seeks to enter into an Agreement with a qualified and reliable insurance carriers and administrators to provide Specific and Aggregate Medical / RX Stop Loss Insurance described in the scope of work below. The Successful Proposer must meet all requirements in this RFP, have a minimum of five (5) years of history providing services/coverages, maintain proper licensing, and comply with all federal, state, and local laws and mandates applicable to the services specified in this RFP. The City is seeking proposals for specific and aggregate stop loss protection for medical and prescription claims to the policyholder for a catastrophic loss per individual claimant with an attachment point of $150,000 and unlimited specific and $1,000,000 aggregate maximum. The request Specific Medical / RX Stop Loss Insurance will be part of the City’s benefits program offered to employees and is part of the City’s efforts to attract and retain top quality employees; maintain the quality and reliability of benefits offered to employees, employees’ dependents, and retirees; and contain cost. The City would like to evaluate options for benefits and programsthat will allow the City to provide the highest quality services while remaining fiscally responsible. The City will carefully consider any improvementsto current coverage levels and services and/orinnovative optionsto maximize the benefits available.
