Specifications include, but are not limited to: 5.6.1 Provide Custodial Services and Bookstore Maintenance 5.6.1.1 Responsible for custodial services within the bookstore. Proposer to maintain good standard housekeeping practices such as sweeping, mopping of floors, dusting, trash disposal and keeping aisles free of obstacles. The University shall be responsible for custodial services in the other common areas of the building.5.6.1.2 Responsible for maintaining the facility in a condition that provides an attractive, comfortable environment that is conducive to shopping.5.6.1.3 Responsible for pest control services for the interior of the bookstore. University will provide pest control services for the remaining areas of the building and the exterior.5.6.2 Security5.6.2.1 Provide any necessary alarm system and monitoring services. 5.6.2.2 Notify the University’s Police Department immediately of any breach of security related to the bookstore, including the immediate notification of the loss of any keys or access control cards. 5.6.2.3 University is not responsible for any damage, theft, or disappearance from the bookstore or storage areas.5.6.3 Space and Furniture5.6.3.1 Provide all equipment, furniture and fixtures required for the proper execution of bookstore operations. This shall include, but not be limited to, office furniture, office equipment, display cases, shelving, cash registers, computers, merchandising units, printers, copiers, etc. 5.6.3.2 Provide Point-of-Sale system and terminals.5.6.4 Product Mix5.6.4.1 Responsible for contacting, in a timely manner, all faculty members for their textbook and course material adoptions. 5.6.4.2 Have ready and available for sale (via campus bookstore and online) all textbooks and required course materials for each semester and each summer session. 5.6.4.3 Offer for Sale (via campus bookstore and online) an array of supplies including, but not limited to:5.6.4.3.1Academic supplies (i.e. scantrons, pens, pencils, folders, index cards, etc.)5.6.4.3.2Technology accessories (i.e. batteries, earbuds, USB drives, mouse pads, etc.)5.6.4.3.3University branded apparel (i.e. hoodies, t-shirts, caps, etc.) 5.6.4.3.4University branded gifts and accessories (i.e. water bottles, mugs, pennants, keychains, etc.)5.6.4.3.5Convenience Items (i.e. chips, energy bars, candy, gum, etc.).5.6.4.4 All purchasing decisions for apparel, souvenirs and other retail items shall be made by the Proposer.5.6.4.5 The sale of alcohol, beer, tobacco, and lottery products are prohibited. 5.6.5 Online Ordering 5.6.5.1 Offer full-service online ordering capability.5.6.5.2 Establish and maintain an official, user friendly Internet website related to the sale and promotion of merchandise. The University shall provide a link to the Proposer’s website on the University’s home page. 5.6.5.3 Keep an updated inventory of all items for sale on the website.5.6.5.4 Merchandise on Proposer’s website shall be similar to merchandise available in bookstore.
