Texas Tech University System seeks to commission a professional Artist to create a site-specific interior mural to be placed in the entry lobby of the Student Success and Military Education Center. Public art will be placed in this location to welcome those coming to utilize the space. Approximate size of mural wall is 18’ L x 8’8” H. Note: artists will only be considered if they are a resident of Wichita Falls (or nearby) and/or a graduate of Midwestern State University. Ideal submissions will create a mural that showcases the importance of both the Military Education Center and the Student Success Center. Mural will be visible at the entrance of the facility. Artists should think of the many stories that can be shared in this space, such as the experiences of military members, as well as first generation students.
