Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University invites qualified and experienced respondents to submit a proposal forMaintenance, Repair and Operations MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) inventorysupplies and services associated with the University of Houston s main campus facilities.Presently, the University of Houston main campus manages a centralized store room andinventories hundreds of MRO supplies, tools, lighting, custodial consumables, parts, equipment,clothing, vehicle maintenance supplies and other related items. Additionally, UH main campushas multiple sub-inventories including equipment, supplies, tools and materials located in storageand shops on the main campus. As part of the evaluation process, interested parties that providea proposal will review the University Stores and all sub-inventories to assess, and makerecommendations regarding best practices for efficient and secure distribution across campus.The selected suppliers will be expected to provide solutions that add value to the UH FacilitiesManagement Department performance. The Facilities Management Department has recentlyimplemented FAMIS (Facilities Asset Management Information System) software as a new toolto improve department performance. The overall goal for this RFP is to adopt best in class MROinventory and supplies management solution(s) to improve a) effectiveness, b) performance, c)delivery, and to effect d) savings. UH Facilities Management has centralized all facilitiesoperations on campus and a link to that chart has been provided for vendor use
