The Harris County Department of Education is currently accepting proposals from local vendors that can provide food and catering service. Providers qualified to provide Contracted Services in the areas of Local Food and Catering for HCDE’s various Education and Enrichment divisions. HCDE will engage the contractor(s) based on HCDE’s needs. HCDE anticipates making multiple awards and will engage in contract(s) as needed to meet client and division needs. These services are the services of either an individual or company (hereby referred to as” Independent Contractor”), who renders services to the Department on a short or infrequent term, on a fee or per diem basis, and does not involve the traditional relationship of employer and employee. This RFP expressly excludes professional services, as defined by statute, including, but not limited to, Texas Education Code Section 44.031(f) and/or Texas Government Code Section 2254.002(2).
