Specifications include, but are not limited to: May include any or all of the following:1. Erosion Rates for Brazoria CountyErosion rate maps for Brazoria County will be collected and reviewed for consistency with themost recent erosional trends caused by natural and anthropogenic events, such as Hurricane Ikeand improvements to the Freeport Channel.2. Line of Vegetation (LOV)The (LOV) must first be determined, as the SBL is measured landward starting from the LOV.The delineation of the LOV will be done in coordination with the GLO and in accordance withGLO rules issued in 2010; the LOV will not be considered final until approved by the GLO andlocal communities.3. Dune Protection Line (DPL)The existing delineation of the DPL will be collected and evaluated for accuracy. Results of thisreview will be coordinated with the County and the GLO to determine concurrence by all parties.4. Set-Back Line (SBL)The SBL will be determined using new GLO rules and guidelines, by taking into account theappropriate historical erosion rates and allowing for shoreline retreat. As directed by the enactinglegislation, a primary goal will be to minimize the degree of public expenditure that will berequired for mitigation of continuing erosion, as well as the losses from storm damage to publicand private property
