A. Respondent Minimum Requirements: 1. Retain samples collected at the time of validation as follows Steers, Market Lambs, and Market Goats: Untested samples shall be retained for two (2) months after the completion of the show season and tested samples for one (1) year after the completion of the show season. Heifers, Breeding Sheep, and Breeding Goats: Since Heifers, Breeding Sheep, and Breeding Goats can compete for three (3) years, untested samples shall be retained for two (2) years after the completion of each show season and tested samples for two (2) years after the completion of each show season. B. Samples Collected at the Time of Validation for the 2024 Show Season: Estimated number of samples collected during the 2024 show season: 35,400 Estimated number of show samples compared/tested during the 2024 show season: 500 Please note that these are estimates only and are subject to change each year. C. Partnership Livestock Shows: 1. The Vendor shall arrange for securing the collected DNA show samples at partnership livestock shows listed below: West Texas Fair and Rodeo – Abilene Sandhills Stock Show and Rodeo – Odessa Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo – Fort Worth San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo – San Antonio Rodeo Austin – Austin San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo – San Angelo Hill County District Junior Livestock Show – Kerrville Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo – Waco State Fair of Texas – Dallas Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo – Houston
