All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Group A – Specialty books & media 1. Specialty books and media that are not available for purchase from regular Trade Publishers or primary Library vendors. Including: a. Small or independent non-Trade presses b. Genealogical and Historical societies c. Non-profit organizations d. Self-published titles e. Academic or specialty publishers f. Imported titles g. Out-of-print titles in New condition 2. Vendor must be able to contact and source material from a wide variety of small press publishers, organizations, and self-published individuals. 3. Vendor must be able to pursue the acquisition of material based upon publisher or seller information supplied by the Library. 4. Vendor must not set minimum order quantities for pursuing acquisition of titles from a publisher or seller. 5. Vendor must be able to meet any pre-payment requirements of the individual publisher or seller, and in turn invoice the library at time of delivery. 6. Vendor must indicate if bindery services are offered for soft back or spiral bound titles that are purchased and detail all applicable bindery costs and restrictions. Bindery services are not required to be responsive, however extra weighting will be given to responsive vendors during evaluation if bindery services are offered. 7. Attachment A2 is a sample list of the type of titles the Library would seek to acquire. To demonstrate the ability to provide requested material, please indicate on the attachment if it would be possible for your company to supply these titles and detail any applicable charges, services, or restrictions. If your company would not be able to supply a title, please indicate the reason(s). 8. Vendor(s) shall have been in the business of acquiring and selecting materials on a libraries’ behalf for at least five (5) years. Group B - Rare, hard-to-find, and antiquarian books & media 1. Rare, hard-to-find, and antiquarian books and media. Including: a. Rare and Fine books b. Collectible or signed editions c. Antiquarian books, pamphlets, and ephemera d. Hard-to-find books and media e. Collectible or hard-to-find vinyl LP records f. Used out-of-print titles in good or like new condition 2. Vendor is required to aggregate listings from multiple independent sellers of rare, hardto-find, and antiquarian books and media. 3. Vendor must have a searchable database with listings of individual items for sale. Listings should include information about the condition of items, and seller reviews and ratings.
