The Friendswood Public Library is seeking an “all in one” library kiosk to provide service to patrons not located near the main library. This kiosk should have the capability to handle books and DVD’s. The maximum dimensions of this unit should no more than 36 inches wide, 42 inches deep, and 72 inches high. The unit should be on wheels for mobility. In addition, the features listed below are the minimum required: Self-contained kiosk for preselected holds. 24/7 fully automated access. Hardcover Fiction, Juvenile, Children’s Picture, paperback, DVD/Game/Audiobook, Hotspots. Allows for the return of items. Browse certain items and genres in stock at the kiosk. Allows for the downloading of eBooks and other electronic content owned by the library. Capacity of at least 200 items. Full touchscreen. ADA compliant material slots, display, and patron interface. Option for printing, emailing, or no receipt. Ability to be monitored remotely. Training on the functionality and usage of the kiosk. In addition to these items, the Library desires to have the software, hardware, and service maintenance warranty for a minimum of 12 months.
