• At the direction of the Superintendent of Schools, perform monitoring, consulting, and advocacy duties to further the Biennial Legislative Program of the Board of Education • Communicate with members of the legislative and/or executive branches of government to influence legislative or administrative action consistent with the goals and legislative program of the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees • Provide counsel and advice on legislative matters as requested by the Dallas ISD Superintendent of Schools and Dallas ISD Board of Trustees • During the legislative session, and interim, communicate to the Board and administrative staff as to the actions being taken by the committees that affect the district • Perform any other relevant consulting duties as determined to be appropriate by the Superintendent of Schools
