SPECIFICATIONS AND STATEMENT OF WORK The purpose of the Contract is to provide laundry service for linens to the Texas Military Department Billeting/Lodging. Contractor shall furnish and provide all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, equipment, and transportation in order to clean and launder linens. All linen laundry services should be in accordance with Industry and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards as specified in this Statement of Work. C.2.1 Laundry Requirements A. All work performed shall be done under sanitary conditions. B. Linens shall be free from soil, dirt, debris, stains, make-up residue, dampness, offensive odors, mildew, cleansing chemical residue, bacteria, fungi, and other micro-organisms, including (but not limited to) pathogens. C. If TMD determines that the spots or stains are not thoroughly removed, the Contractor shall reprocess, at no additional cost, all linens that are returned. D. Contractor shall pick up all laundry, to include soiled items, and return same inventory of laundry clean and fresh. E. Contractor shall use diligence to provide an uninterrupted supply of linen, sufficient to meet TMD requirements. F. Contractor shall be solely responsible for determining the means and methods for performing the laundry services. G. Contractor shall insure that all white fabric will be bright white and free of yellow, gray tinges, or other unsightly appearance. Sorted linen is weighed according to the washing machine’s load limit; and H. Large washing machines will be operated by a trained washer operator. I. Contractor shall ensure washed linens are: 1. Free of soil; 2. Free of excessive stains; 3. White and bright; 4. Is Clean and has a fresh smell.
