• Entire agency space shall be contiguous and located on a single floor. Stucco will not be acceptable as an exterior wall finish. Modular buildings will not be acceptable. • State Energy Conservation Office Compliance Certification: Lessor must comply with all of the requirements of the Texas State Energy Conservation Office building energy code requirements for state funded buildings. Lessor must submit to TDCJ and TFC a copy of the certification by the design architect or engineer that verifies the construction or renovation complies with the standards that are established under 34 TAC 19.34, including engineering documentation. A water compliance form is required for buildings greater than 10,000 sf. • Canopy or Covered Exterior Doors: Provide overhead cover at all exterior door locations (Ex: canopy over hangs or entries recessed towards in the interior of the building). • Visitor Waiting Area Vestibule: Buildings with a minimum of 300 sf visitor waiting area shall be designed so that the lobby/visitor waiting area is equipped with a vestibule to aid in reducing the infiltration of outside air into the space. • Client Screening Area: Provide a privacy wall for security wanding and screening clients, prior to entering the interview area.
