Specifications include, but are not limited to: Parker County is seeking an annual contract for Juvenile Detention. The initial term of the contract shall be one year beginning upon execution of the contract with an option to renew for three (3) additional one-year terms at the discretion of the Parker County Commissioners’ Court. Parker County is approximately 20 miles west of the DFW Metroplex with a population of 118,000. Parker County placements for 2011 and 2012 juvenile detention services were 64 and 70 respectively. Services will include provision of the following for juvenile offenders as determined by the Parker County Juvenile Probation Department: Services will be provided in accordance with all laws and regulations of the United States and the State of Texas. A. Provide room and board. Single cell for each juvenile. B. Supervision to be provided 24 hours per day, seven days per week by certified staff. C. Conduct routine medical examination and treatment within the facility. D. Provide an approved education program. E. Provide an approved exercise program. F. Provide a daily structured program. G. Provide counseling services as needed. H. Service Provider shall be in compliance with all Standards and Requirements of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department and all applicable State and Federal laws. I. Provide each juvenile the opportunity to complete the Massachusetts Youth Screening Inventory (MAYSI-2) supervised by trained staff. J.
