Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of this RFP is to select a Vendor to provide a primary 40 Gbps Internet connection to the EPISD with the option to add additional bandwidth in 1 Gbps increments up to 100 Gbps. The District currently has two Internet Service Providers: ENS Services, LLC. and Conterra. The District will continue to use BGP maintain paths to multiple ISPs. The technology obtained from this RFP should result in significantly improved student achievement, and improve the resources needed by the administration for the support and maintenance of teaching and learning. The selected vendor will coordinate and collaborate with the administration, obtaining specific approval, when and as necessary. The selected vendor will work under the direction and supervision of the Network Infrastructure Manager for EPISD. This RFP requires the selected vendor to provide the agreed upon goods and services within the time frame set for utilizing any E-rate funds committed to the District pursuant to E-rate Funding Year 2024. In addition, the selected vendor should demonstrate knowledge and experience in dealing with E-rate funded projects. The vendor must provide a SPIN number or certification of having applied for a SPIN number as part of this response. This contract will be a year-to-year contract with an option to extend up to four years depending on funding and District approvals. All work to be performed under this RFP is contingent upon receipt of E-rate funding; EPISD reserves the right to cancel any project upon failure to receive these funds.
