Specifications include, but are not limited to: The new Internet Routers should provide a fully integrated solution for all CCISD facilities. The system should be scalable at the convenience of the district. The district wants competition from vendors and unique innovative technologies that allow it to shrink hardware footprints, minimize power consumption and reduce the cost.; The Internet Routers should be able to support the district independently from either data center to maintain business continuity. These data centers are CCISD’s Technology Learning Center (TLC) and Central Support Facility (CSF), which are connected via multiple 100 Gbps fiber optic in a ring topology. These facilities are physically 5 miles apart (13 miles of fiber). The district’s internet connectivity will be 20Gbps burstable to 40Gbps in July 2024.
