The District is seeking information from providers qualified and experienced in providing contracted services for instructional and special education programs including, professional development and training services. The District will create and submit to the vendor a professional services agreement outlining requested services and expectations. Individual campuses and departments may solicit scope of work proposals from as many providers as they deem necessary to ensure best value. Submissions may include services that support any of the following: • Provide researched based literacy support and training for teachers to enhance teaching and learning opportunities that support District curriculum and campus improvement plans. • Provide clearly articulated focus and research based instructional strategies aligned to the District’s curriculum documents and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). • Provide direct and/or indirect special education instructional and related services according to a student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) including, but not limited to: speech language therapy, vision and hearing services, physical therapy, adapted physical education, behavioral support, music therapy, counseling, orientation and mobility, in-home training. • Provide materials to engage students, specifically focusing on drop-out prevention, educational motivation and inspiration through literacy and role playing. • Provide differentiated instructional strategies to meet the needs of students in various grades and at different instructional levels. • Support the development of higher-level thinking skills.
