The awarded vendor will be notified of such and is to meet with the Maintenance and Operations Management Department administration to establish communication and project process, protocol, and schedule. Some of the duties that will be communicated with Maintenance and Operations Management include: meeting with Maintenance and Operations before site visits to develop a schedule for the campuses and departments that will be inspected, Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the fire hydrant equipment. Inspection and certification of fire hydrants must meet the NFPA-25 standards and will include but not limited to: ▪ Please include all locations on pricing sheet to inspect. ▪ Annual flushing of all fire hydrants ▪ Annual Inspection of water drainage for a minimum of 1 minute ▪ Annual Inspection of caps being free of damage ▪ Annual Inspection of fire hydrant draining properly ▪ Annual Inspection of fire hydrants being free of any obstruction (debris/dirt) ▪ Assist with inventory of fire hydrants ▪ Assist with any other miscellaneous repairs that are needed in order for the fire hydrants to work properly.
