Specifications include, but are not limited to: The required services to be provided are Infection Prevention Assessment Services. Contractor must assume full human resources responsibilities for all staff conducting activities in support of the contract. Contractor must recruit, interview, and hire no more than 18 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Specialists who are Certified in Infection Control (CIC®), Within 30 days from the effect date of the Contract, Contractor must recruit, interview, and hire Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Specialists, Certified in Infection Control (CIC®), to conduct 16 in-person ICARs in each Texas Public Health Region per month for the duration of the Contract. IPC Specialist must conduct ICARs following the DSHS Healthcare Safety Unit (HSU) “How to conduct proactive ICARs” guide. a) Information on CIC® credentials can be found at the following link: CBIC b) Information on the Texas Public Health Regions can be found at the following link: https://www.dshs.texas.gov/regional-local-health-operations/public-health-regions Contractor must establish job expectations, conduct performance management, supervise and as necessary terminate non-performing IPC Specialists. Contractor must coordinate and direct all administrative functions of IPC Specialists. Contractor must ensure that IPC Specialists are locally based in the DSHS Public Health Region they are assigned to conduct Infection Control Assessments (ICARs), to minimize travel costs, but are able to travel to other DSHS Public Health Regions as necessary.
