This contract shall be implemented to provide cleaning and maintenance of a 10-point, 44’ wide, Caswell Detroit Armor LE7500 bullet trap and parts of an indoor shooting range. During this contract, the Contractor will need to perform routine basic cleanings (Type I) and annual recycle and full cleanings (Type II). In addition, maintenance may require a removal and full replacement of the granular rubber in which a contractor maybe expected to collect and dispose of lead contaminated rubber in accordance with waste disposal requirements. These cleanings will need to remove any spent lead projectiles from the granulated rubber as needed. The amount of rubber that will be recycled and separated from most of the spent lead projectiles will be per schedules scope of work that amount of granulated rubber will be recycled back into the bullet trap and spent lead will be containerized and recycled by the owner. These cleanings will be completed from behind the bullet trap as well as in front of the bullet trap. After the cleaning/recycle is completed, then the gum rubber is to be placed back into position. The Airport expects, at a minimum, for the Type I and Type II cleanings to take place annually. The Type I Recycle and Basic Cleaning should be scheduled for the fall or winter (November/December) and the Type II Recycle and Full Cleaning should be scheduled for the spring or summer (May/June).
