Specifications include, but are not limited to: HCPH seeks to provide wastewater sampling to at least ten (10) Cities/MUDs, collecting a minimum of two (2) samples per week from each wastewater treatment facility within their perspective jurisdiction. Laboratory processing and notification occurring within 24-72 hours, following sample collection and delivery. Testing expansion and frequency is contingent upon resources and the laboratory’s ability to analyze samples. HCPH will provide wastewater samplers, field staff to collect and deliver samples, and ongoing maintenance of all equipment. All terms of the agreement are outlined in a memorandum of understanding (MOU), agreed upon by involved parties. The wastewater-based epidemiology program (WBE) will use HCPH resources to sample, collect, analyze and process up to one hundred (100) wastewater samples, on a weekly basis, at various wastewater treatment facilities in Cities/ MUDs, in Harris County. Harris County will create a schedule with existing partners to schedule sample collection for each site (approximately 20 locations). These reservations will be reviewed monthly by HCPH and partners. The hours of operation may vary on a daily basis, based on resources.
