Specifications include, but are not limited to: The vendor shall provide transportation services for the PHS Refugee Health Screening Program (RHSP), Community Health and Violence Prevention Services (CHVPS) division, (the “Departments”), for their patients, participants, and clients throughout the Houston/Harris County area. As part of the PHS RHSP daily operations, transportation services are required for patients and packages which include patient referrals and lab specimens. The CHVPS division requires transportation services to be provided for program participants to and from various meetings, events, and appointments to support client care and case management services. Estimated monthly trips are approximately 350 or 4,200 annually; These trips will be one-way or roundtrip, to orfromprimarily residential, health centers/clinics, and communitybased locations. Some departures from a clinic/center will have a residence destination or Voluntary Agencies Engaged in Overseas Relief and Development (VOLAG) destinations within Harris County. Trips could average five (5) to fifty (50) miles, all within Harris County. Any trip outside of the County must have administrative approval from the HCPHS Program Director of Refugee Health Screening Services or Disease Control Clinical Prevention (DCCP) Support Services Administrator. Additionally, the vendor must properly and legally provide transportation services as requested by the Departments, in accordance with all federal, state, and local and municipal laws and regulations.
